Where DO I Begin?
Well, just to let you know, I'm once again cramming. Sooo.... I don't remember much of what we did. But I'd be talking about stuff I do remember. And Moodle is a good way to help me remember :D (thanks to all you computer geniuses)
So anyways, Moodle said that one of our first topics was...
Machine Cycles and Networking
Data Cycles and Transmission
A machine cycle, also called a processor cycle or a instruction cycle, is the basic operation performed by a central processing unit (CPU). A CPU is the main logic unit of a computer.
How does data travel across the network?
Data Transmission
- the physical transfer of data over communication channel or medium such as copper wires, optical fibers, wireless channel and storage devices. Data are represented as electromagnetic signals such as an electrical voltage, radiowave, microwave or infrared signal.
* In the case of familiar content, I would not deny that I did copy-paste a lot. So... sources: Sir Tom's slides on moodle, Google Images.
There. Now that's NOT plagiarism.
